Delete Account & Data

You have full ownership of your data on KINJO. This page allows you to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal information, without requiring you to reinstall the application.

Two ways to delete your account

You can delete your KINJO account and associated personal data at any time via in-app settings or via our online request mechanism below:

Option A: In-App Deletion (Instant)

If you have the KINJO app installed on your device:

  1. Open the KINJO app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap your Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner.
  4. Tap Account → tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the prompt. Your profile and proximity discovery are terminated immediately.

Option B: Web / Email Request (No App Required)

If you uninstalled the app or cannot access your device, submit the form below or email hello@kinjo.world from your registered email address.

What data is deleted

When your deletion request is processed, the following data is permanently purged from our active systems:

  • Profile Data: Your name, profile photo, headline, bio, professional industry, custom prompt answers, and skills.
  • Authentication Credentials: Your registered email address and active authentication session tokens.
  • Device & Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push tokens and device identifiers.
  • Proximity & Match History: Any recorded proximity exchange logs, received profile cards, and saved connections.
  • Support Communications: Associated customer support tickets and contact correspondence.

Data retention periods & timeline

  • Immediate Effect: Proximity visibility is turned off immediately. Your profile will no longer be visible to any other users.
  • 30-Day Permanent Purge: All personal data, media, and database records are permanently deleted from active production databases within 30 days.
  • Legal Exceptions: In rare cases where records are strictly mandated by statutory legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations, minimal anonymized records will be retained only for the legally mandated period.
